On February 3, 2015 Mu Kappa Omega set out to “connect” with the community again! Armed with smiles, determination and Voter Registration tools, members attended “Responding to Law Enforcement”, a forum featuring a panel of police officers, lawyers, and judges that provided information and insight on appropriate ways to engage with law enforcement officers. Its goal was to improve relations between police officials and the communities they serve.

The forum was held at Brentwood Baptist Church and the speakers were quite engaging with their no-nonsense and powerful deliveries of law and court proceedings. Our chapter co-founder, Pam Gaskin, previewed the importance of exercising your voting right for the audience of youth and their parents. Mu Kappa Omega proudly registered two young high school men to prepare them for their first opportunity to vote!
